Therapy Approach

Having a strong therapeutic relationship predicts positive therapy outcomes for clients so it is important for clients to find a therapist with whom they feel comfortable.  With my clients, I work collaboratively to clarify their goals and empower them to recognize their strengths and develop self-compassion. Through this process, we develop a therapy space that feels secure, is free of judgment, and meets the unique needs of each client.

Clients

I am registered to work with adults (over the age of 18) that reside in Ontario.

Therapy Duration and Frequency

Treatment length depends on each client’s unique needs and goals in therapy. Treatment planning, including expected duration and frequency of sessions, will be reviewed as part of the initial consultation.  Treatment plans are also reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Fees

My fees are consistent with the recommended rates set out by the Ontario Psychological Association.  Psychological services are not covered by OHIP, however, some coverage may be offered by extended health care benefit plans.  Please check with your insurance provider to understand your coverage.  Payment is made by e-transfer at the end of the session.  A receipt will be provided that can be used to submit for insurance coverage or as a healthcare expense deduction on your income tax return.

Referral

A doctor referral is not required to seek psychological services.
